An unpeated Bunnahabhain matured in a bourbon barrel, finished in a Barbados rum cask and bottled at 58.6% cask strength. A collaboration with our old pals from Old Pal in Edinburgh, who selected both the cask and the finish.
Drawn from the very first cask James and Jamie bought together at the start of Blind Summit, so this one is a bit of a milestone for us. Toasted coconut and waxy barley over honeyed bourbon oak, with a coastal salty edge. Underneath sits a wee sprinkle of tropical rum character, banana bread, dried pineapple and a brown sugar glaze.
