Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Blind Summit Whisky. We're a small, independent whisky company based in Leith, Edinburgh. These terms explain how orders, deliveries, cancellations and returns work when you purchase through our website.

We've kept things straightforward, but if you have any questions, please get in touch.

1. Who we are

Blind Summit Whisky is operated by Prestige Panther Limited, a private limited company registered in Scotland.

Company number: SC728377

VAT registration number: GB 481 2816 85

Registered office: 23 Woodville Terrace, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH6 8BZ

Email: hello@blindsummitwhisky.com

For questions about orders, deliveries or returns, please contact us by email.

2. Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you'll receive an email acknowledging your purchase.

All orders are subject to availability, payment authorisation and age verification where required.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or an order cannot lawfully be fulfilled. If we've already taken payment, we'll refund the amount paid for any cancelled items.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and include VAT where applicable.

Delivery charges are displayed before you complete your purchase.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

4. Delivery and dispatch

We aim to dispatch orders within one to two working days.

Mainland UK deliveries typically arrive within three to four working days after dispatch, although delivery times may vary depending on location and courier availability.

You'll receive tracking information when your order is dispatched, where tracking is available.

Delivery destinations, charges and any restrictions will be shown at checkout. If we cannot deliver to your address, we'll let you know and arrange a refund.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, we'll deliver your order within 30 days of purchase.

5. Age restrictions

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase whisky from Blind Summit Whisky.

By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

We may carry out age-verification checks and our delivery partners may request photographic identification before handing over an order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if the legal age requirement cannot be verified.

6. Cancellations and returns

We understand that plans change.

Under UK consumer law, you generally have the right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, email hello@blindsummitwhisky.com within that period, clearly stating that you wish to cancel.

You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Please contact us before returning anything so we can provide the correct return address and instructions.

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. Please package bottles securely.

We may make a deduction from your refund if the goods have lost value because they have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them.

We'll refund the price paid for the returned goods, together with the original standard delivery charge where applicable. Additional charges for premium delivery options are not refundable beyond the cost of standard delivery.

Refunds will be made using your original payment method, normally within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you've sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Certain statutory exceptions to cancellation rights may apply, including to personalised goods.

These provisions do not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

7. Damaged, faulty or missing orders

We take care when packing and dispatching our whisky, but occasionally things go wrong.

If your order arrives damaged, is incorrect or doesn't arrive, please contact hello@blindsummitwhisky.com as soon as possible.

For damaged items, photographs of the packaging and bottles can help us resolve the issue quickly.

We'll investigate and arrange an appropriate replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your consumer rights.

You won't be responsible for loss or damage occurring while your order is being delivered by a courier arranged by us.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer legislation.

8. Product information and availability

We make every effort to describe our whiskies accurately, including their age, strength, cask information and bottle size.

As an independent bottler working with limited releases, availability can change quickly.

Product photographs are intended to represent the whisky accurately, although minor differences in packaging or presentation may occur.

If an item you've ordered becomes unavailable, we'll contact you and offer a refund or an alternative, if you'd prefer.

9. Privacy and personal information

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information provided during checkout is used to process orders, arrange delivery, provide customer support and meet our legal obligations.

We won't add you to marketing emails simply because you've placed an order. Marketing communications are handled separately, in accordance with applicable data protection rules.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our business, delivery arrangements or legal obligations change.

The terms applicable to your purchase will be those in effect when you place your order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law.

Nothing in this section affects any mandatory consumer protections or rights you may have to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to your place of residence.

12. Questions

We're a small, independent business and we want every experience with Blind Summit Whisky to be a good one.

If anything is unclear or something hasn't gone as expected, please email hello@blindsummitwhisky.com.

We'll do our best to help.
