A single cask of Glen Elgin showing classic honeyed Speyside, waxy orchard fruit from its first ten years in a bourbon hogshead.

Re-racked for one year into a Napa Valley Chardonnay barrique, where it took on layers of almond, yellow fruit and ginger. A huge moment for us releasing our first white wine matured whisky, and the combination has come off brilliantly.

NOSE

Peach Campinos, dried mirabelle plum, apricot and white grape must. Almond croissant, icing and amaretti. Instantly inviting.

finish

Long, with brown sugar almond cake, juicy plums and ginger spice at the end.

PALETTE

Prickly at full strength but creamy with it, almost lees-y. Lemon curd, peach, pear and fleshy yellow fruit, with chamomile honey. Toasty almond kernel and frangipane, buttery with nutmeg.
